SEOUL
THE FIRST FIVE
Seoul moves fast.
Somehow, it still feels calm.
Ancient palaces, minimalist cafés, Korean skincare
and one of the cleanest, quietest cities I’ve ever explored.
THE FIRST FIVE
The advice I would give anyone before their first trip to Seoul.
Seoul’s public transportation is excellent. Make using it effortless from day one.
A facial, head spa or Korean spa day deserves actual space on your itinerary.
Beat the crowds and give yourself time to notice how peaceful they really are.
Shop there, absolutely. Then explore the neighborhoods where Seoul really unfolds.
Seoul changes after dark. Walk the river, find dinner and let the city glow.

FROM BRITTANY
Seoul surprised me in the best possible way.
I expected a huge, fast city. What I found was one of the cleanest, calmest capitals I’ve ever visited—full of quiet corners, beautiful design and little moments that made me want to stay longer.
Give yourself time for the palaces, absolutely. But also leave room for cafés, skincare, long walks and neighborhoods you did not originally plan to see.
I left Seoul with better skin, an emptier suitcase and a city I will recommend forever.

FOUR REASONS TO LEAVE THE CITY
SEE OR SKIP?
THE HONEST VERSION
See it for shopping and street food. Just do not mistake it for all of Seoul.
See it when the weather is clear. The walk around Namsan is half the point.
See it, but remember people live there. Keep your voice down and respect posted rules.
Worth seeing, especially for design, beauty and nightlife. You do not need to spend every day there.
Absolutely see it. One of the easiest ways to understand why Seoul feels so livable.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
SMALL DETAILS. BETTER TRIP.
Google Maps can be limited in South Korea. Naver Map or KakaoMap will make navigation much easier.
Use it for subways and buses and keep a little cash handy for reloading.
One of the things I loved about Seoul was how quiet public spaces could feel. Match the energy.
Tax-refund and beauty purchases may require identification, so having it accessible can help.
Beauty, stationery, fashion and snacks have a way of coming home with you.
