CHICAGO

THE FIRST FIVE

A city big enough to disappear into
and warm enough to make you stay.

Architecture, lakefront summers,
neighborhood bars and a city I could call home.

ONE RESTAURANT GROUP.
FOUR VERY DIFFERENT MOODS.

01 Trivoli Tavern Cozy, romantic and built for a slow dinner. 02 Bavette’s Dark, glamorous and one of the city’s best steakhouse nights. 03 Ciccio Mio Intimate red-sauce Italian and nearly impossible reservations. 04 Gilt Bar Cocktails, pasta and moody River North energy.

FROM BRITTANY

Chicago feels like a city you can visit loudly or live in quietly.

You can spend the afternoon beneath skyscrapers, watch baseball with forty thousand strangers, eat one of the best dinners of your life and still find a neighborhood bar that feels like it has been waiting for you.

I love the river, the lake, the comedy, the food and the way every neighborhood becomes its own version of the city.

Maybe it is my astrocartography line.
Maybe Chicago is simply that good.
Either way, I could stay.

STAY

FIVE DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF CHICAGO

01 River North Restaurants, rooftops, nightlife and central convenience. 02 The Loop Architecture, museums and classic first-time sightseeing. 03 West Loop Restaurant Row, newer hotels and serious dinner energy. 04 Lincoln Park Lakefront paths, greenery and a calmer local rhythm. 05 Wicker Park Independent shops, nightlife and an easy Blue Line ride.

SEE OR SKIP?

THE HONEST VERSION

DEEP DISH

Try it once. Then go eat everything else Chicago does exceptionally well.

NAVY PIER

Walk it in beautiful weather or when taking a cruise. Do not stay all day.

WILLIS TOWER

Go when the glass ledge excites you. Skip when heights or swaying do not.

360 CHICAGO

Better when you prefer lake views, drinks and less glass-floor terror.

MAGNIFICENT MILE

Walk it once for architecture and shopping, then explore the neighborhoods.

CHOOSE YOUR BOAT

ARCHITECTURE, SKYLINES OR DRINKS?

01 Chicago Architecture Center Best for serious architecture and expert storytelling. 02 Wendella River-only and river-plus-lake routes near the Wrigley Building. 03 Shoreline Sightseeing Lake cruises, skyline views and seasonal fireworks trips. 04 Island Party Boat For people whose educational objective is boat with drinks.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

SMALL DETAILS. BETTER CITY.

01 CHICAGO IS ENORMOUS

Do not schedule distant neighborhoods as though they share one parking lot.

02 USE THE ‘L’

The CTA connects downtown with Wicker Park, Wrigleyville and beyond.

03 RESERVE DINNER EARLY

Popular Hogsalt and West Loop tables can disappear when booking opens.

04 SEASON CHANGES EVERYTHING

Summer is beaches and boats. Winter is museums, comedy and serious coats.

05 CHECK THE CALENDAR

Festivals, sports, concerts and neighborhood events happen constantly.
