As someone who spent most of her twenties desperately searching for her purpose—and feeling like I needed a "big girl job" to prove I had one—becoming a travel agent felt like the obvious next step.

I'd visited more than 50 countries. I'd planned countless trips for friends. I'd written travel guides that thousands of people had downloaded.

Hell, I was one of the first creators to sign up for Booking.com's affiliate program.

This should've been the easiest, most natural career transition in the world.

Wrong.

Turns out, in all my therapy and healing journey, there was one thing I forgot to work on: Being responsible for someone else's happiness on vacation.

Because here's the thing about being a travel agent... You are always the person someone can blame.

Flight delayed?

Your fault.

Hotel overbooked?

Your fault.

Taxi driver takes a wrong turn?

...apparently also your fault.

(Yes. Someone once messaged me because their taxi dropped them off at the wrong hotel. Honey... I am not driving the taxi.)

One time, someone called FRAUD on me because they booked a cruise and their husband got mad. I wish I was kidding.

The funny part is...

None of those moments made me quit.

Not the 4 a.m. panic texts. Not the frantic "HELP" messages from across the world. Not even when a client and I both miscalculated a time difference and had to completely rearrange her itinerary on the fly.

No.

What finally broke me...

...was booking my own trip.

I accidentally reserved my rental car for the wrong day on my Canadian road trip with my parents.

That's it. That was my villain origin story.

Standing at the Hertz counter while my parents absolutely lost it laughing, I realized something. I'd become so anxious about making someone else's trip perfect...

...that I couldn't even enjoy planning my own.

And that's when I knew. I didn't hate travel. I hated booking travel.

There's a difference. Because when I think about what I actually love... It's not comparing hotel rates. It's finding the tiny café that locals swear by. It's wandering a neighborhood with absolutely nowhere to be.

It's discovering the wine bar with six tables instead of the rooftop bar everyone on TikTok is standing in line for. It's helping people experience a place instead of simply visiting it.

Ironically...

Becoming a travel agent taught me exactly what Brittany in Wanderland was supposed to become.

Not a booking service.

A guide.

Over the last year I've become slightly obsessed with using AI to help me travel better—not faster. Less time searching Pinterest. Less doom-scrolling TikTok. Less opening 47 Google tabs.

More time actually dreaming about the trip. More wandering. More connecting. More living.

So instead of booking your vacation for you...

I decided to teach you how I do it yourself.

Nova (yes... my ChatGPT has a name 😂) and I put together the exact prompts I use before every trip—the ones that help me find incredible neighborhoods, boutique hotels, hidden cafés, local restaurants, and unforgettable experiences without spending hours searching the internet.

Because honestly...

I think travel is more fun when you get to be part of planning it.

So I made you a guide.

And before you ask...

It's free.

Because if it helps even one person spend less time staring at a screen and more time wandering a new city...

Then it's already done its job.

So go download it.

Plan something incredible.

And if you'd still rather have someone else book it...

I know some amazing travel agents.

They're much better at remembering the dates than I am. 😂❤️
