BANGKOK
THE FIRST FIVE
Bangkok is chaos.
That is exactly the point.
Golden temples, street food, rooftop cocktails
and a city that rewards you for leaning all the way in.
THE FIRST FIVE
The advice I would give anyone before their first trip to Bangkok.
The heat and crowds build quickly. Morning Bangkok is your friend.
The river is not just scenic—it is one of the best ways to move through the city.
Some of your best meals may come from a plastic stool and a sizzling wok.
Bangkok from above is completely different. Dress up and enjoy it.
Traffic is real. Give neighborhoods room instead of trying to cross the city five times a day.

NEIGHBORHOODS
FIVE DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF BANGKOK
DRINK
- Sky BarIconic views and a very Bangkok rooftop moment.
- VertigoOpen-air skyline views when you want a dramatic night.
- Tropic CityFun tropical cocktails without taking itself too seriously.
- VesperPolished cocktails and one of the city’s strongest bar programs.

FROM BRITTANY
Bangkok is not subtle, and I mean that as a compliment.
It is hot, loud, colorful, spiritual, glamorous, messy and delicious—sometimes all within the same five minutes.
The trick is not trying to tame it. Pick a neighborhood, eat something you cannot pronounce, take the river boat and let the city surprise you.
Bangkok gets better the second you stop asking it to slow down.

DAY TRIPS
FOUR REASONS TO LEAVE THE CITY
SEE OR SKIP?
THE HONEST VERSION
See it once if you are curious. You do not need to build your whole Bangkok experience around it.
See one if it excites you. Skip it if you are only going because you think Bangkok requires it.
See it. Bangkok earns at least one skyline cocktail.
See it once, dress correctly and go as early as possible.
Take one for the experience. Use Grab or the train when you actually need efficiency.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
SMALL DETAILS. BETTER TRIP.
Cover shoulders and knees and carry a light layer so you are not scrambling at the entrance.
It is often easier than negotiating rides and lets you see the fare before you go.
Bangkok traffic can eat your itinerary alive. Group days geographically.
Street stalls, markets and small vendors may still be easier with cash.
The heat is real. Build in air-conditioned breaks without feeling guilty about it.
